The Poetry Machine is making its way around ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University and Hamilton, N.Y., thanks to ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s Upstate Institute and the University Libraries in partnership with the Adirondack Center for Writing.

As part of the 2024 cohort of Summer Field School Fellows, Mary Thomas Powell ’26 and Charlie Tourbaf ’25 are conducting hands-on environmental research.

History major Ray Zhang ’24, from Ningbo, China, describes his summer assessing the satisfaction of visitors to a new exhibit at Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake.

Environmental biology major Tessa Mountain ’23, from Ambler, Pa., describes her research for the Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation.

Out of more than 200 students involved with research this summer, 33 are conducting projects under the auspices of the Upstate Institute.

Regional leaders in business, economic development, education, and non-profit agencies gathered for the Collaboration, Cooperation and Community for Commerce (4C) conference, Friday, Oct. 25.

²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ students gained resume-building skills as they learned to create digital stories — and, in turn, they helped create awareness for the local chapter of a nonprofit organization.
