Today, ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ launches , a race to the end of the fiscal year on June 30. Each weekday, the university will post a new story on the impact that philanthropy has on current students and on ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ as it prepares to enter its third century.
Anticipating its bicentennial and acknowledging the challenges that face higher education, the university recently completed a new strategic plan and designated as a top priority. President addressed the importance of aid and access in his message in the latest ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Scene. He wrote:
Continuing to increase the resources available for financial aid will allow us to recruit even more outstanding students, reduce the pressure to recruit full-pay students, temper some concerns about tuition, and facilitate more applications from nontraditional areas.
